Priority Mailing Systems is proud to announce our conversion to solar power at two of our Southern California facilities in early 2009. Each of these facilities was configured with panels covering essentially all of our usable roof space to minimize our net energy import.

Our Torrance Headquarters has incorporated 200 panels with 5 inverters producing a peak of 35kw of power, enough energy to cover approximately 60% of our needs. Ontario comprises 100 panels and 2 inverters, producing up to 17.5kw, again about 60% of our business usage.

Each of these systems is monitored 24/7 for not just energy produced but also energy used. This allows us to see how changes within the workspace can help minimize energy consumed at each site.

While it will take perhaps 10 to 12 years to recover our financial investment, we are pleased to be doing a part to lessen energy needs in California today.
